Chicago producer DotEXE released his ‘On The Fence’ EP a few weeks ago, and i’ve pulled my favorite track from the EP to showcase. I’ve posted a little DotEXE in the past, including his remix of Meg & Dia’s ‘Monster’, and his original track ‘Come Back To Me’. It’s honestly hard to define his unique production style, but he’s definitely one of those producers who deserves more recognition. He also just mentioned that he’s working on a remix for Krewella — I can’t wait to hear that.

Two new unreleased Skrillex tracks have made it onto the Internet. Pretty sure these are both legit Skrillex — but they’re definitely not official releases, they’re both rips. ‘Lets Get Down’ really shows how Sonny is continually switching up his style, and ‘Lick It Down’ seems to just be a live mashup. Regardless, they’re both sick and need to be heard.

Kaskade just released his full set from Coachella on his SoundCloud page. He placed a Zoom H4n handheld recorder in his booth to try and capture some of the audience reaction, and he put that with the audio that came directly from the mixer — and the outcome is astonishing. Kaskade really shows off his mash-up skills in this perfectly attuned, energetic 90-minute set.

Nick Meyer a.k.a. N3AKO just released his second EP, ‘Synthesis’, and it’s jam packed with seven filthy bootlegs! (actually 8 including the free bonus track!)

Synthesis, is unlike any EP I’ve done in the past. This time, I really wanted to do something to set it apart from the rest. You’ll see I dabbled in some trancier songs giving it a new feel, but maintained my usual “dirty vibe” by mixing in some dubstep as well. I decided to use some not so popular songs, as well as a few chart toppers like Axwell’s- In My Mind for this project because I wanted to make bootlegs that haven’t been created before. This is why I thought Synthesis would be a perfect name because it means combining two or more elements to form something new, and that’s exactly what I did with this project. Delta Heavy just put up previews for all of the tracks on their forthcoming EP ‘Down The Rabbit Role’ on their SoundCloud page! They’ve been tearing it up ever since the released of their ‘Hold Me‘ video that saw more than 2 million views on YouTube. Not only have they been receiving tons of support from other producers, they’ve also been touring all around the world as of late. With their most ambitious project to date Delta Heavy invite you to follow them ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ into a place where a myriad of styles, genres and influences are merged into one another and combine effortlessly to create 6 hard-hitting original tracks.

The lead track of the EP ‘Get By’ throws the listener back to the turn of the century when UK garage ruled the charts. Pitched up saccharine vocals and bouncy 2 step beats are juxtaposed with a thumping dubstep switch that catapults the dance floor straight back in 2012. Their own 174 bpm remix sees more 90s nostalgia twisted into their trademark pounding drum and bass as the vocal sits on twinkling rave pianos and a reese bassline that builds to a thundering drop.

‘End of Days’ sees Delta Heavy in more familiar territory. A staple of Andy C sets in recent months, a tense and apocalyptic intro rises through grinding alarm stabs and an urgent guitar riff towards an unrelenting wall of searing synths and bass. In a similar vein ‘Turbine’ retains the dystopian, mechanical mood whilst combining more traditional jungle ingredients, rugged breakbeats and a ripping hoover lead. ‘Make It Rain’ keeps the tempo at 174 bpm but flips the genre on its head with a funky, swaggering take on the half time style.

‘Demons’ picks up from where ‘Hold Me’ left off, balancing light and shade expertly as a tropical intro of steel drums and imploring vocals cascade into an explosive conclusion.
