Introducing Vicetone — an incredible new duo from Netherlands. Today, I’ve got their remix of Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero’s “Sparks”. The original tune premiered at EDC Las Vegas 2012 and since it’s been an absolute hit. Vicetone did an astonishing job at flipping it into a bangin’ progressive house track.

Today, I’ve got Flosstradamus’ trap remix of Sub Focus’ “Tidal Wave”. It’s set to be released November 4th via Mercury Records.

David A always knew he wanted to be a musician. At a young age, David A studied classical music theory, jazz drum and classical piano for 6 years until he was 18. In dealing with the conflict of being a classically trained musician as well as an extreme metal-rock enthusiast, he became extremely confused as to what sound he was supposed to create.

In 2008, rather than creating something he was maybe “supposed to” create, David A started producing electro-pop and established a solid reputation in the underground scene of Montreal. For the next 3 years, David A built his name as a producer to be someone that every pop artist was looking for.

Fusing his classical music background, his love for rock, and his understanding of pop-song structures, David A was signed to EMI Canada to produce an electro-pop band, named “Take The Night”. The band has already had 2 singles on the Canadian Pop Charts. 2011 continued to be a big year for David A, producing tracks for well-known artists such as Miley Cyrus and her brother Trace Cyrus (lead singer of “Metro Station”). David A also decided to take on some artist development challenges in producing TB1. David A released his first solo track “Skrillehammer”, which samples Skrillex’s voice. The track was recognized by Skrillex and is gaining extreme momentum worldwide.

Remember Skrillex & Nero – Game Over? Yeah, this is that track; but the real version. Rips of it spread around the internet like wild fire and it kind of died off with no real name. Today, Nero released the full-length version. It’s actually titled “Won’t You (Be There)” and Skrillex had nothing to do with it; I mean as far as we know. It does really sound very similar to Skrillex if not exactly alike — it’s suprising to me that he’s not involved. Anyway, it’s a good direction for Nero I guess since Skrillex has seen so much success.

I present, the future — Seven Lions. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Seven Lions née Jeff Montalvo is the future. From the moment I discovered him via his remix of Oceanlab’s “Satellite” I knew he was going to be huge. Now, he’s all over the place remixing EVERYTHING. The fact that he can take these tracks and diversify them with these huge, rolling sounds with the precision and attention to detail really makes them all sound amazing with that progressive trance sound.

The UK duo Culture Code just released their remix of Adventure Club’s “Wait”. They said they’d release the remix if their Facebook status that announced it got 150+ likes; and sure enough, it did. There’s not really much to say about this track; we’ve all heard the original. With that said, Culture Code’s take on it really does it justice. It’s still got the awesome Karen O “Wait” sample and new synths with big ass wobble explosions — it’s good.
