Michael Brun spent his childhood on the sun-drenched Caribbean island of Haiti. Born to a Haitian father and Guyanese mother who valued the love of music, his musical background stretched from the percussion-heavy Rara and Afro-groove music of his native Haiti, to disco and synth pop. He has played guitar and piano from a young age, and took up DJing and EDM production at around 16. After three years of hard work and experimentation, 19 year old Michael has been fortunate enough to receive support from some of the most well-respected names in the industry, including Axwell, Kaskade, Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tiesto, Hardwell, Ferry Corsten and Afrojack to name a few. Even though he produces from his dorm room at Davidson College, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in EDM, including Avicii, Dirty South, Thomas Gold, AN21 and Max Vangeli, Nadia Ali and more. Following the success of his singles ‘Dawn’ on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings (#3 Beatport Progressive releases), and ‘Rise’ on Dirty South’s Phazing Records (#5 Beatport Progressive singles), Michael is hard at work preparing his next releases for what is sure to be an amazing year — and today i’ve got his outstanding electro house remix of Charli XCX’s ‘Nuclear Seasons’.
