ZHU (pronounced “zoo”) – LA based American EDM Producer/DJ/Songwriter. His style of music blends tight and unique rhythms with a symphonic edge. Raised in SF his music reflects both his background and such influences as Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, SHM, Kaskade, Daft Punk, Justice and MSTRKRFT. His electro and progressive-house styles are unique, energetic, romantic, edgy and attractive to both the club market as well as seasoned listener. Working with a variety of singers and songwriters, ZHU brings electronic music into the crafts of pop music, while still maintaining the foundation of EDM music, with the belief that good music shouldn’t have a genre restriction. ZHU has shared the stage with Morgan Page, Wolgang Gartner, MSTRKRFT, Kill The Noise, Savoy, and many others. Today, i’ve got his glitched out downtempo remix of Pink Floyd’s ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’. ZHU took this classic song and added to the depth of its interpreation. It’s in the same general soundscape of Pretty Lights, Gramatic, and The Glitch Mob.
